BIM Coordinator/Revit Technician
As an industry leading interior fit out contractor and bespoke joinery manufacturer, we are looking for a BIM coordinator to join our growing team of draughts people, MEP coordinators and design managers. EE Smith work on some of the largest and most prestigious fit out projects in the country.
As a result, we are looking to expand the in-house BIM modelling capabilities. The ideal candidate will be required to coordinate models produced in Inventor by the drawing office, produce Revit models from 2D AutoCAD drawings for BIM integration as well as model building elements in Revit for federation. BIM content is driven by project requirements, varying from job to job, with the successful candidate required to undertake the following within the team:
- Support Project Team members in the use of BIM Authoring tools
- Produce and develop project content utilising Revit and Navisworks
- Monitor project compliance against Client Schedules of Work and Project BIM Execution Plan
- Coordinate company BIM information with Base Build models
- Federate models and undertake clash detection including reporting and resolution
- A flexible approach to facilitate our varying contractual BIM obligations
Essential Skills
- A background in the construction industry with experience of both Architectural & MEP sectors
- Experience inputting COBie information & managing project data requirements
- Strong 3D Modelling and 2D drafting skills utilising Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Experienced in model federation and clash detection
- With a strong team working ethic, the successful candidate will work alongside and support Technical Services (MEP) and the Drawing Office, collaborating with the contracts department to deliver large design and build projects to programme
- High degree of numeracy, personal organisation and attention to detail
Experience Level
- An experienced professional is sought who is able to fully coordinate and lead the BIM portion of the work packages. A minimum 4-5 years relevant industry experience is required.
